Youth Empowerment Specialist

What is it exactly that you do? 

I help Youth 14 & up with Independent Living Skills. For example, a youth getting their permit or SS card, etc.

What is your favorite part about your Job?

My favorite part of my job is teaching the youth these skills so they will have a chance to be successful when they age out of care & are on their own.

What is a success story that you can remember that made you feel accomplished in your role?

I helped a child get the tools they needed, so he can be a mobile repairman when he graduates from school, which is what he wants to do for a career. He is an excellent mechanic. This Youth could not thank me enough for all the tools he received and for all the help I provided him.
