After a thoughtful conversation with the team at the Yahnundasis Golf Club and several days of closely monitoring the forecast while hoping for a better outcome, we have made the difficult decision not to hold any on-course activities for the HGS 25th Anniversary Golf Tournament tomorrow.
While there is some wet-weather resiliency built into the course, the forecasted rainfall of one-half inch to more than one inch is expected to exceed what the course can handle. Moving forward with play under these conditions could damage the course and would not provide the experience we want for our players, sponsors, and guests.
We understand many of you may wonder whether rescheduling is an option. Unfortunately, given the coordination required among the golf course, staff, volunteers, vendors, sponsors, and participants, rescheduling the event is not feasible.
While we are disappointed that we won't be able to play golf together, we are still looking forward to celebrating with you and recognizing the many people who have supported the Tournament over the past 25 years.
Our revised schedule for tomorrow is as follows:
9:30 a.m.
- Registration opens
- Gift pick-up
- Breakfast
11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Registration and gift pick-up continue
- Hospitality featuring food and beverages
- Cash bar available
3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- 25th Anniversary Cocktail Reception*
- Registration and gift pick-up continue
*Please note that the reception has been moved from its originally scheduled time of 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
VIP Experience Sponsors: All VIP Experience activities scheduled from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. will still take place and have been moved indoors.
All foursomes will receive a gift certificate for a future round of golf at the Yahnundasis Golf Club.
