Short-Term Placement for Boys and Girls Ages 6–17 and Detention Services for Boys and Girls Ages 12–17 Classified as PINS or JDs.
Transitional Services is comprised of two programs certified by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS).
Here, The House provides diagnostic evaluation, emergency housing, and short-term placement to boys and girls ages 6–17. This is a nine-bed facility located on the Champlin Avenue campus.
We provide detention services for boys and girls ages 12–17 classified as PINS or JDs. Placement is mandated through Family Court to ensure that the youth will participate in further court appearances.
The service focus is to prevent placement and advocate for the most appropriate level of care. The eight-bed program is located in the community on Sunset Avenue in Utica.
