Respite Care provides children and families with a short-term break away to support family relationships or to avert a future need for more intensive care.
Service recipients are typically foster children and foster families. Care includes residential services, ongoing provision of educational services, and a variety of activities in program or home settings. Respite stays can be on a scheduled or emergency basis for up to 21 days contingent on openings. Respite Care is offered on our Champlin Avenue campus and The House's foster homes.
Most referrals for services are made by Kids Oneida and the Neighborhood Center in Oneida County and North Country Transitional Living Services in Jefferson County.
