Marge Makes a Difference

July 14, 2017

"Last week we admitted a young girl named K.C. I was told that the last time she was to be placed at another agency, she wouldn't even get out of the car.
This time, K.C. got out of the car...but she froze and wouldn't move. She was pouting and looking down at the ground. She wasn't going to budge!
Then Margery walks by. I introduced Marge to K.C.and told Marge that K.C. loves gymnastics. Marge - just being Marge - started doing cartwheels, which made K.C. laugh. Before long, K.C. was doing cartwheels too! They were laughing and having a great time.
After the gymnastic show, K.C. happily went into her cottage. The thing about Marge is - she was just being herself. She is happy and engaging when any children are there. If you are lucky enough to spend any time with Marge during your work day, I guarantee she puts a smile on your face." - Anne Wingfield, Intake Coordinator
