Supervision of assigned program and staff in a manner that intergrates a safe environment with individual youths treatment plans.
Must have High School Diploma or Equivalency and a minimum of one experience working with youth and families, preferably in a residential setting and one year in a supervisory capacity.
-Ensure a safe, clean and attractive therapeutic environment in assigned residential program.
-Participate in youth case review/treatment team meetings and ensure direct care workers implementation of lifespace components.
-Participate in 24-hour on-call procedures for handling client, program and staffing crises.
-Participate as a trainer and provide training per the agency's Training Program.
-Paticipate in the development of program budget and ensure compliance relative to income and expenses in area of responsibility
-Ensure provision of reliable information to clinical,eduational and psychiatric staff regarding behavorial observations of youth per site-specific protocols.
-Facilitate family or other client visits in concert with primary therapists and provide necessary arrangements for supervision and transportation for residents and families, when needed.
-Other related tasks and duties as assigned by Supervisor
-Demonstrated knowledge of behavioral treatment and social skills' development of youth in residential setting;
-Demonstrated knowledge of critical variables in creating a safe and successful therapeutic environment;
-Strong organizational skills
-Strong written and verbal communication skills;
-Ability to form effective relationships with youth in care;
-Ability to engage in collaborative working relationships with agency staff, professionals from other agencies and regulatory bodies;
-Strong emphasis placed on prior supervisory experience.
