11th Annual Chefs Unite
This is a truly unique lunch experience that showcases food from over 25 local restaurants.
Chefs Unite takes place at Hart’s Hill Inn on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from 12:30p.m. - 2p.m.
Tickets are $28 each.
We believe every child should grow in a place that is friendly and familiar. Proceeds from Chefs Unite will help over 130 children by providing items to make their time at The House more comfortable and like home. You give children at The House a chance to live in a comfortable and safe surrounding.
A portion of the proceeds will also help purchase furnishings and major appliances, which are in dire need of replacement and simply are not covered by public funding for several of our cottages on campus, such as B-Cottage which provides residential services for 10 at risk teenage girls. The girls come from many different backgrounds that include physical and emotional abuse, neglect, and behavioral and emotional difficulties. At B-Cottage we try to provide the girls with a stable home-like environment. We teach our girls about being a productive member of a group, and maintaining their environment. When the girls feel safe and secure they are able to focus on developing coping skills to help when they are reunited with their families.
