To provide a safe, secure, therapeutic environment for children residing in The House of Good Shepherd programs.
-High School Diploma or Equivalency; some higher education preferred.
-Current valid NYS driver's license
-Good verbal and written communication skills
-Supervise children in their daily routine in accordance with agency policy and procedures and program protocols;
-Participate in the development and implementation of ongoing activity programs for children in care;
-Maintain a safe, clean and homelike environment for children in care;
-Manage all behavioral problems in a manner that reflects the agency Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training and agency policy and procedures;
-Provide feedback regarding individualized treatment plans and implement these plans as defined by the child’s primary therapist/treatment team;
-Regularly participate in staff meetings and supervision;
-Ensure completion of all written documentation as defined by program and agency policy and procedure;
-Ensure that all program and agency policies and procedures are followed;
-In the absence of the shift supervisor or other assigned staff, pass medication in accordance with physician’s orders and record medications given according to agency guidelines and procedures;
-Participate in QI training and actively participate in the agency’s Quality Improvement Program;
-Successfully complete all required agency training as defined by program and agency policy;
-Other related tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor;
-Competitive hourly wages.
